The Children’s Advocacy Center of Kalamazoo (CAC) is a caring, child-focused, safe place for children who have been sexually or severely physically abused. Children are interviewed by a specially trained forensic interviewer while an investigative team, including law enforcement and family/witness advocates, works together to further the investigation, treatment, and prosecution of child abuse cases. Individual and group therapy is offered by therapists who are highly trained in utilizing evidence-based techniques and in the treatment of trauma. All of our services at The Children’s Advocacy Center are provided at no cost to families. We are funded through donations, grants, and fundraising activities. The CAC of Kalamazoo is one of the longest standing, nationally accredited Child Advocacy Centers in the state of Michigan. We strive to be Kalamazoo County’s hub for investigation, treatment, and advocacy for children and families where a child has disclosed physical or sexual abuse.
