Kristy is licensed by the State of Michigan as a Limited License Psychologist (LLP). She also has a state certification as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). She attended Western Michigan University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. She has been working in the field of counseling since 2010. Her professional experience includes working with both adolescents and adults through individual, group, and family therapy. She offers a person-centered approach with a theoretical orientation of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Her focus is to help her clients meet their own personal goals from therapy, and facilitate a therapeutic environment of hope. She has practiced treatment in the areas of trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, and family/life transition events.
