Barry Stephens has been a Mental Health & Substance Abuse Therapist at the Elizabeth UpJohn Community Healing Center since 2002. Barry has a Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University in Counseling Psychology and Bachelor’s Degree from The College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio in Sociology. Barry’s specialties in practice are: depression, anxiety, marital relations, and substance abuse. Barry facilitates The Alcohol Highway Safety Class which is held on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Barry also facilitates The Social Support Group which helps clients learn re-socialization skills in a familiar, safe environment. Barry conducts driver’s license assessments for individuals wanting to secure driver’s license restoration hearings with the Secretary of State. Barry receives referrals of military veterans from the VA Hospital. Barry is a member of The Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association.
