Kitchen Support Staff Job Posting

Job Title: KITCHEN SUPPORT STAFF–GILMORE (20-25 hours per week) Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Position Reports To: Administrative Supervisor
Supervision Exercised: NONE
What you will do:
Kitchen Support Staff assists in preparing and serving all meals and snacks at Gilmore Community Healing Center. Kitchen Support Staff is will cleanup the dining room and kitchen, after meal service.
Tasks include:
· Sanitize all surface areas, daily.
· Stock food items used in the preparation of served meals and snacks. Communicate to maintain           proper food levels.
· Help preparing and serving meals to clients.
· Clean kitchen and dining areas, as needed.
· Engage and work professionally with the Kitchen team.
· Provide snacks, as required.
· Complete dry-erase board, as needed.
· Sanitize kitchen and cooking utensils.
· Prepare client rooms for occupancy including sanitization, clean linens, dusting and floor care.
· Maintain confidentiality, as required by law and CHC policies and procedures.
· Handle, label and clean all potential infectious materials.
· Comply with required protective measures as specified by Community Healing Centers.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, required.

ServeSafe Certification, preferred.
Cooking/Prep experience, preferred.
Familiar with infection control procedures, preferred.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to maintain an organized, clean work environment.
Ability to communicate professionally with staff, clients and visitors. Maintain professional boundaries with staff and clients.

Work Environment/Requirements:  
· Direct contact with alcohol and drug abusers including individuals that may use injectable drugs.
· Injectable drug abusers are at high risk for tuberculosis infection and other illnesses. All staff are required to be screened for tuberculosis and understand that exposure to tuberculosis is possible.
· Flu and Covid-19 Vaccines, required.
· Work will be performed indoors in a climate-controlled office.
· Some weekend and off-shift work is required.
· Physical activities may include prolonged standing, lifting to 50 pounds unassisted, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling and handling of hazardous materials.
