Job Title: CHIEF PROGRAM OFFICER

Position Reports to: Executive Director

What you will do:

Summary – The Chief Program Officer is responsible for leading the direct service areas, program development, and client outcomes of the Community Healing Centers. This role ensures programs are consistent with their purpose as well as the mission, vision, and values of the agency.

Responsibilities:

· Integrate Agency mission, vison, and values into the recruiting, hiring, and training of new staff. A heavy influence should be dedicated to DEIJ.

· Oversee, manage, support, and empower all direct service program leaders in behavioral health, addiction medicine, prevention, children’s services, recovery housing, and all other services.

· Maintain conformance to all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory rules and standards.

· Provide guidance, expertise, and follow up support of all program corrective action plans to prevent repeat violations and deficiencies. This position will work closely with the compliance department.

· Ensure consistent compliance with the performance expectations of all grants and contracts, including qualitative and quantitative outcomes.

· Assist in implementing and sustaining an effective data collection system for clinical work, client status tracking, gauging staff productivity, and producing outcomes and analysis reports.

· Serve as an Agency representative attending key meetings at the local, state, and federal level.

· Assist with the strategic direction of the agency.

· Develop and maintain relationships with all referral sources, contract agencies, and community partners and stakeholders.

· Supervise, coach, evaluate, discipline, and inspire program supervisors, managers, and directors.

· Ensure compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and handbook. Assist in the progressive disciplinary process.

· Identify and support staff development and training needs.

Required Qualifications (non-negotiable):

· Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field, required.

· At least 15 years in social/community work with no less than 5 years in a leadership role.

· Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of key concepts in addiction medicine, behavioral health, children’s services, and prevention.

· Must have experience in an accreditation process for social service agencies.

· Must be able to demonstrate proficient understanding of key concepts in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice work.

· Must be able to demonstrate the ability to properly coach and hold staff accountable.

· Must be able to plan, supervise, review, and evaluate the work of managerial and professional staff.

· Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making skills.

· This position will be required to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Operating Officer. This may include nights and weekends.

· Must have a proven track record of developing new programs at a community/social service agency.
