Chris Slater comes to us with a background in finance and non-profit administration. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors in Accounting. He earned his CPA designation in 2010 and spent almost 5 years in public accounting with a focus on non-profits. His administrative experience has included foster care, adoption, case management, addiction medicine, and other behavioral health services. He has served on several West Michigan nonprofit board of directors and finance committees, including Holland Home, The West Michigan Partnership for Children, Health Net of West Michigan, and others in an effort to better the community in which he lives.

Chris has a passion for advocating for the under served and ensuring they have access to equitable healthcare services. Specifically, Chris has interest in identifying and breaking down barriers for those having difficulty navigating the healthcare system. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, drumming, fishing, and traveling.
